23/01/2008: The Hotusa Group, Present at FITUR

The Hotusa Group will this year take part in the 28th edition of the International Tourist Fair, FITUR, one of the most important appointments in the tourist sector world-wide. From 30 January to 3 February, the Group, under the chairmanship of Amancio López, will exhibit its services at Stand Nº 12D03, the largest it has ever displayed at the Madrid Fair, located in Pavilion Nº 12, recently built in the Eastern Sector of the IFEMA complex.

The stand, measuring 495 square metres, will for the first time include practically all the companies comprising the group, under their respective brands. A spectacular pavilion in the form of an island, the design of which is characterized by its avant-garde concepts and uncluttered lines. In addition and coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the group, a new brand will be presented at this Madrid scenario; a network of trendy, top level, independent establishments, distributed all over the world.

The Hotusa Group stand will encompass the various companies that comprise the group: Hotusa Hotels, Eurostars Hotels, the hotel representative firm, Keytel and the Tour Operator, Restel, in addition to their respective brands. The chain of independent hotels, Hotusa Hotels, the embryo of the Group as it is today, will display its catalogue of services and its ample portfolio, providing over 2,000 associated hotels in some 43 countries throughout the world. The chain of independent hotels has, during 2007, disembarked in the tourist markets of China, the Balkan States, Cuba, Venezuela and Mozambique, thus meeting its objective of enlarging and diversifying its portfolio, including establishments in both the traditional destinations as well as the emergent markets world-wide. Closely linked to Hotusa Hotels is the brand, Domus Selecta, whose associated establishments are exclusive hotels with charm, planned equally for optimum class holiday tourism and the Mice Sector, (business, corporate meetings, congresses and incentive travel).

The stand also includes Eurostars Hotels, the brand of urban establishments comprising 45 of the 79 hotels that make up the hotel division of the Hotusa Group. A fully consolidated chain whose portfolio - specialising in high class, urban hotels, with a cultural association - is currently in a phase of great expansion. With regard to its geographic distribution, Eurostars Hotels offers 29 establishments located in Spain, four in Italy, one in Germany, one in Austria, two in Belgium, one in Portugal, two in the Czech Republic, three in Mexico, one in Argentina and two in the United States of America.

With respect to future plans, the opening in 2008 of several hotels must be highlighted, i.e. the Eurostars BCN Design*****, a spectacular boutique hotel set in the heart of Barcelona's Paseo de Gracia; the Eurostars Panorama****, a modern hotel occupying a delightful neo-classical building and which signifies the arrival of the chain in Paris; and the Eurostars Das Letras*****, the first establishment belonging to the chain in Lisbon, to be formally opened in summer. Finally, the cherry on the cake for 2008 will be the Eurostars Madrid Tower*****, a 480-room establishment taking up 33 floors of the SyV Tower, of over 250 metres in height, erected on the former grounds of the Real Madrid sports club. The opening of this spectacular building is slotted for the last quarter of the year.

Regarding Keytel, this is a hotel representative company that began operating in 1973, providing exclusive services for the sales, marketing and distribution of the nearly 1,400 hotels the company represents. During this past year, Keytel presented the brand, Prestige Hotels of the World (PHW), also present on the Hotusa Group stand. PHW is the first Spanish firm specialising in the representation of top level hotels world-wide. These are establishments characterised by their acclaimed prestige in their geographical locations, due to their history, setting, service or specialisation, which make up the portfolio of the brand, currently with some fifty associated hotels.
