Hotusa Hotels has enlarged its portfolio last June with the addition of 66 new associated establishments. Of these hotels now associated with the company, 57 form part of the international network, thus consolidating the chain’s presence amongst the major hotel consortia in the world.
The new international additions to the company include 39 in France alone, reinforcing Hotusa Hotels’ expansion in that country, which received a boost in February with the acquisition of the independent chain, Elysées West Hotels (EWH), specialised in the urban and city hotels segment. The majority of the French establishments which have joined Hotusa Hotels in June are located in Paris and are classed in the Comfort and Premier ranges.
Hotusa Hotels’ international portfolio has grown with additions, also, in Italy (7), Portugal (2), Russia (2), Germany (1), Andorra (1), Argentina (1), United States of America (1), Hungary (1), Czech Republic (1) and Switzerland (1). With regard to Spain, the chain of independent establishments has been joined by associated hotels in Andalusia (3), Castile & Leon (1), Aragon (1), Castile- La Mancha (1), Catalonia (1) and Galicia (1).
Hotusa Hotels’ objective is to enlarge and diversify its portfolio with the addition of establishments in both the traditional destinations as well as in the emergent tourist markets. It has recently added its first associated hotels Panama, India and Colombia, while in 2007 it made a debut in marketplaces such as The Balkans, Mozambique, Cuba, Venezuela and China.
