Built many years ago as a villa, the hotel came into existence in the 1950’s. The Villarosa is an hotel de charme offering an understated but sophisticated atmosphere, with its antique furnishings and prints, all fine pieces of Sicilian and Neapolitan craftsmanship, which give the guests’ rooms their special flavour and provide a feeling of cordial welcome in the common rooms.
With a completely renovated spa facility and a comfortable thermal swimming pool in the heart of its lush and ample garden, the Villarosa is an oasis of friendly tranquillity in the centre of Porto d’Ischia, only 200 metres from the sea.
The island of Ischia is connected to the mainland by ferry companies providing frequent links from Naples. Many hydrofoils and ferries leave from Naples to three ports in Ischia; some make a stop at the island of Procida. In Naples there are two ports for departures: Molo Beverello Wharf and Naples Mergellina Wharf. Companies providing these services are Caremar, Alilauro and Snav.
